Project: Winter Wine Festival Invitation Design and Production

2018 Winter Wine Festival Vintner Dinner Invitations
Project Scope: Absher Design Group’s Creative Director, Lisa Absher, and Garden District’s Event Creative Director, Rufino Hernandez, strategized to develop the pre-event theme and color story under the sub-brand “Taste of Love.” The invitations had to be eye-catching, welcoming, and relevant in quality for this private pre-event invitation to build excitement to the primary fundraising event the next day titled “All We Need is Love.” Absher Design began the creative development with the visual elements of the campaign. With “love” being the central connector, we chose bright red lips, a modern take on a fork, wine glasses, and a wine bottle as the illustrative Pop-art style, a nod to the 60’s song “All we need is Love,” and Mod 60’s neon brights as the color palette. The sleeve art was imprinted on canvas to mimic a POP-ART painting and the fold out invitation was released from the canvas sleeve by a groovy tassel embellishment. Each panel of this invitation was gold foil stamped for a taste of luxe meets Brit-Mod theme for this private event. This graphic design showcased our design team’s playful, unique and creative approach to branding, advertising, and marketing.
Absher Design Group had the privilege to attend the 2019 4th District ADDY Awards, hosted by the American Advertising Federation (AAF) and see their creative design win a GOLD ADDY Award within the “Single Card, Invitation, or Announcement” category for the 2018 Naples Winter Wine Festival, Private Vintner Dinner marketing invitation. The creative submission competed against hundreds of submissions from the state of Florida and the Caribbean.
